Day 1 (without Mom)

While I was in New York getting ready to see "Wicked" I received a pic/text message from Merlin. This is what I saw... I was running on no sleep and this about put me over the edge. The message said, "Baby Girl is allergic to everything except Milk and Wheat." It was all I could do, not to break down right there are have a good cry. I felt like the worst mother in the world for not being there to hold her and love her.

The nurse was amazed at how well Baby Girl tolerated the skin test. I was told she didn't cry, but about half way through, she would turn her head, at each poke, and say, "Ouch! Ouch!" Baby Girl is allergic to corn, eggs, dogs, cats, pollen, and very allergic to peanuts. So now we get to carry around an epi-pen and read every food label.
