Merlin and I just returned from our trip to Scotland to attend Merlin's cousins wedding. Here are the top ten things we learned in Scotland:

1. Just because technically they speak English that doesn't mean you can understand what they say.

2. The exchange rate is awful for Americans. You give them $100 they give you 44 pounds.

3. Haggis is...well you probably don't want to know.

4. Square dancing originated in Scotland, but it is known as Gaelic dancing.

5. The Tattoo festival has nothing to do with ink and needles.

6. Long haired cows are very mean.

7. Gas is even more expensive in Scotland. About 4 pounds ($8.00) a liter.

8. After a few days you start thinking with an accent.

9. After a week of driving on the wrong side of the road, it feels normal.

10. Real men wear Kilts not skirts.
