Scary

I took Baby Girl to the pediatrician yesterday to get her asthma checked. After the doctor and I discussed what has been going on the last few weeks (breathing treatments, steroids, wheezing) he said, "With winter and flu season coming, I am very scared for her." Really, doc, you're scared? Last winter she spent a total of 4 nights in the hospital because of asthma. It was very scary and we were hoping this winter she would be older and healthier, but it is not looking good. We haven't taken Baby Girl to church, well actually nursery (we all go to Sacrament meeting) since June and people are beginning to think that Merlin has gone in-active. We have replaced 90% of the carpet in the house with wood floors and put in a new furnace/humidifier/air purifier. I don't know what else I can do. We will be meeting with an allergist next week. Then in a couple of weeks we will be going to PCMC to meet with the asthma specialist. In the mean time I shower the other three children in hand sanitizer as soon as they get home from school and pray that Baby Girl doesn't get sick.

By the way, I hate asthma.
