I would like to wish all the fathers a Happy Fathers Day! I have the best dad, father-in-law, and father for my children.

In honor of all the fathers here are some poems about fathers by my favorite poet.

HE WORKED

He worked to put food on the table

He worked for the clothes that we wore

He worked when he could have gone fishing

His commitment to family meant more

His work had eternal perspectives

He did what he needed to do

He built, he created, he molded

A life that was noble and true

No need to pin medals on father

He'd feel stiff in the "Dads Hall Of Fame"

His reward will come always in knowing

That you've been true-

That you've honored his name.

NO GREATER JOY

Joy comes in little league home runs

In winning baskets too

In happy days on camping trips

Excursions to the Zoo

There's joy in baby's smiles and steps

In honor rolls and such

In Fathers Day and double plays

These things can bean so much

There are lots of joys in father's life

Tender moments that make his heart glad

But, when his children walk in truth

No greater joy comes to Dad.
