A day to Celebrate

48 years ago today,

my mom and dad were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

An Eternal Chain

A family is a golden chain forged in a sacred place

Every part a kindred spirit every link a special face

The chain grows strong with loving deeds

And hopes and smiles and tears

And memories made together

That grow dearer through the years

Joined with love and linked with purpose

Sure we’ve formed a mighty chain

That no power on earth can sever

That no mortal force can change

Every sharing makes it stronger every smile and every tear

Till it binds in unique oneness day by day and year by year

Every single link is precious we must strengthen every one

For we plan to be together when our life on earth is done.

Wealth
We count our wealth by little things
We need no worldly treasure.
For smiles and love and friendship...
Are the blessings we should measure.
Our gold and silver tarnish
And our money we can’t take.
We only keep the good we do
