Wicked Weekend

About a month ago, as part of their birthdays, Merlin & I took Big Sister & Little Sister to Boise, Idaho to see my FAVORITE Broadway show, WICKED. You ask, "Why Boise, when it will be in Salt Lake City the summer of 2012?" Because I bought the Boise tickets months before I knew it was coming to Salt Lake, that's why.

Ever since I saw Wicked for the first time in New York, I have dreamed of taking these two girls to see it. The morning of the show we watched the "Wizard of Oz" on DVD. I thought it was fitting. When we got to the theater and were sitting in our seats waiting for the show to start, I reminded them, and myself, that they/we could not sing along. We have all the songs memorized. I did run into one little problem. It was a predicament really, I wanted to sit and watch the show and not miss a single green thing, but I also wanted to sit and watch them experiencing seeing it for the first time.
Torture, I tell you.
We had soo much fun!
